Ceri Race Festival Gubbio 15 May

Youths carry them on their shoulder from the historic part of the town to the top of Mount Ingino, where the basilica of the patron stands. The route is such that the ‘ceri-bearers’ rush headlong through the streets, then face the arduous and tiring slope to the mount.
